Change in circumstance

For situations like moving home, you can update your address via our online member portal, OneView. There may be other times when your circumstances change and you need to get in touch with us. This may include during a divorce or if you want to change the way you communicate with us.

>

Update your contact details

Please tell us as soon as possible if your contact details have changed - whether it’s a new address, phone number or change of name. We’ll always protect your personal data, but we also need to keep it up to date.

Moving overseas

If you’ve moved abroad and no longer have a UK bank account, we can make payments to the country you’re living in. For certain countries, we may need additional documents to carry out security checks to confirm the validity of an overseas account. Please contact us for the bank mandate form you need.

Change in tax code

HMRC may send you notice of a new tax code. It's important to contact them as soon as possible if you think it's wrong (0300 200 3300 / www.gov.uk/contact-hmrc). If the new code is wrong, HMRC will send us a revised code, so there’s no need to let us know. We can’t deal with HMRC on your behalf. And we can’t change your tax code unless they tell us to.

Divorce

If your marriage or civil partnership is dissolved, your settlement may include a court order which impacts your Just policy. In this case, we’d need to implement the order. Your pension may either be shared between you and your spouse or civil partner or awarded to them in full. The court will issue a pension sharing order, and we’ll calculate a cash equivalent transfer value (CETV) figure.

Power of Attorney

In situations where you become ill, have an accident or are no longer able to make decisions about your financial affairs, a power of attorney (POA) is helpful. This puts someone you trust in charge of managing your finances or helping you make important choices. There are two types - either temporary or lasting power of attorney.

Your next of kin or spouse can’t make financial decisions unless a POA is in place. And you can’t appoint a POA once you’ve lost mental capacity or after an accident. It must be done in advance and can be a lengthy process. You can make, register or end a power of attorney online or use a professional/solicitor.

We can’t accept overseas POA. Please get in touch with us for more details.
